Thunder Mountain C-More Mount

Thunder Mountain Custom C-More Sight Mount

The Thunder Mountain C-More sight mount features a light weight and modern design with advance blast diffuser technology which directs the blast energy of the compensator down and to the side of the gun and away from your expensive scope. The Thunder Mountain C-More mount is machined from solid billet aircraft grade aluminum to exact tolerances on modern CNC Machining Centers holding the tightest tolerances. It is then anodized to provide a lifetime of flawless service and we guaranty it for life.

Single sided mounting, to provide total clearance for the ejection port.

Thunder Mountain Custom Thumb Rest (Long and Short version available NOW)

The Thunder Mountain Thumb rest is machined from solid billet aircraft grade aluminum to exact tolerances on modern CNC Machining Centers holding the tightest tolerances.  A light weight and modern design which features 20 line per inch checkering that provides positive control. No need to drill your scope mount, they go on easy and mount with 5-40 Grade 8 Torx screw and are fully adjustable by using 3 different mounting screw position on the mount and available in two different lengths to fit your requirements.

The Thunder Mountain supplied STI magazines have been improved by leaps and bounds over the standard factory magazines at no additional cost to you. We now totally debur the entire magazine to include the feed lips, body and bases. There are no burrs or rough finish to slow down your ammo from being feed into your gun. We then run them through a mico-polishing process that we spent over 7 months developing and perfecting with one of the nations leading polishing specialist in the medical surgery equipment industry. The finish you see on the outside is the finish you get on the inside of the magazine. You can clearly see the difference as well as feel the difference when your loading and running these magazine.

Now available in all calibers and magazine lengths.

For those of you that like to build your own magazines or need replacement parts, Thunder Mountain supplied STI magazines tubes are the best available. We have improved them by leaps and bounds over the standard factory magazines tubes at no additional cost to you. For those of you that like to purchase magazines that are ready to go to a match and run, these are for you. We start off with our deburred and mico-poished tubes, then add the World famous Dawson basepad and Dawson follower to them. We use nothing but the best parts to build these magazines to include the best magazine springs available.

They are range proven, we have run over 10,000 rounds through a single magazine without a feeding issue.

Thunder Mountain STI Spartan Delux Package

(Yep, we misspelled it on purpose)

STI Spartan Delux Package Deal

We've taken one of the greatest 1911 deals ever available or manufactured and improved on it for the better. The Spartan Delux (Yep, we misspelled it on purpose) Package is set up with the Thunder Mountain Excusive "STI Logo'ed Aluma Grips" you can't get these from anyplace else. They provide a lifetime of service without any wear or tear. Then we install a new mainspring housing and magwell, change out the main spring and sear spring, Plus we add in a 40" length of the brightest fiber available (Just look at the ends of the fiber in the picture), there's no brighter fiber available, period... (we have it made just for us). Then we took an additional step and added a US made MilSpec magazine to the package. Like they use to say in the movies "Holy Cows Batman, that's a smoking DEAL"

 

What's Next

New projects and products are based on customer demand and feedback on current products that are available on the market, many of which we offer and for products where a quality product is lacking. We have no problem with offering you a product that is produced by another company as long as it's a great product and priced right. We listen to our customers, and if you have an idea for a new product or for one that needs to be improved on, we want to hear it. Thunder Mountain always wants to provide the best parts, pieces and firearms to the shooting public. Although we manufacture many of the great parts that we offer in house. We do not offer substandard off shore produced products and never will, and we would not even think of the thought of offering them to you, we know you need reliable parts and products not only for Competition but also for your personal security and protection needs.

 

The upcoming products listed below are based on demands that we have received from you, our customers.

All of the project listed below are already in production or in the prototyping stages. As we get them completed and ready for shipping we will move to the upper portion of this page and will be adding new projects as we complete the projects listed below

 

1911's

We still believe that a custom 1911 should be just that. When your paying top dollar for a custom 1911 you should get a Custom 1911, and not one that looks like everyone else's gun at the range. So on our customs 1911's they will remain just that, total customs, with no two ever built or looking the same, only built the way you want it and of course with an average 8 month lead time. But we have realized there are a few voids in the 1911 market and we have gotten enough request for next two new products that will be offer soon.

The first two projects, Although not custom 1911's will have all of the bells and whistles, built on nothing but the best parts available. And will be a total bang for the buck

The First Project

We are going to be doing the Spartan Next Gen (Next Generation). Everything you saw above in the Spartan Delux, PLUS Hard Chroming and Some wild "Thunder Mountain Custom" front strap Stippling at prices that will just amaze you. Pictures will be posted soon

The Second Project

We are going to be doing a 6" 10 MM Hunting pistol. This will be a single stack 1911. They will feature Dawson Tritaum sights to make that early morning or that last shot before dusk count every time. Front straps will be checkered or have an aggressive Thunder Mountain Stippling design, so you will have positive control, on those cold mornings when your in the field when you have to wear gloves, but still enjoyable and not overbearing when your just out at the range shooting. They will be built with a bull barrel to help tame the 10 MM recoil and we are current seeking a toolless guide rod for a 6" 1911, so maintenance in the field if ever needed is easy.

 

Holster Upgrades

If you run a SafariLand 012 or CR Speed Holster, we have new barrel support for you. As normal, Engineered in the Thunder Mountain way. Your gun will never leave the holster unless you want it to, and built of only the best materials available, no plastic parts on these, there's nothing that will break during a match. The fist production run for the SafariLand 012 holsters has been completed, and we are just waiting for the parts to come back from the Anodizing shop The CR Speed upgrades will be available shortly.

 

Slide Rackers

Race gun guys, We have an new Slide Racker coming out. This one is totally different. Not built on a casting. This one is built out of SOLID barstock, and totally functional and has features to provide positive control

 

MAG WELL's

We have been looking at the current designs for the past year or so, and there are some better solutions. Some of the MagWells out there like the Dawson ICE Magwell are as perfect as it can get for 90 percent of the shooters and we stock them and use them on all of our custom guns and Totally Tuned Edges. For the other 10 Percent we will be offering MagWells for those of you with smaller hands, larger hands, and those of you that would like to have a MagWell that is narrower in general, but still offering a larger pocket.

 

Fire Control (Hammers, Sears and Disconnectors)

We have finally found a manufacture who is able to produce our new line of light weight hammers, sears, and disconnectors, at the quality that we want for our customers. We just received the first lot of prototypes, and need to run them for a few months, before we start production on them, just to make sure everything is perfect. All of the internal parts will be Rockwell harden to C51-53, which will result in a trigger pull that does not change, no matter how many rounds you put through your gun. These will be pretty much a drop in trigger job, with no additional stoning required
